Jump Start

Miles College Jump Start Program is a six-week summer program that allows students to get a “Jump Start” on their college journey at a tuition discounted rate of $2500.  This is about half the cost of our normal summer tuition rates. Students who qualify for full Pell Grant may attend at no out of pocket cost. Full Pell Grant pays for $2300 and our president is waiving the $200 out of pocket cost. That means that if a student qualifies for full Pell Grant, the out of pocket cost to attend is Zero. Jumpstart begins in June. With courses offered in English, Mathematics, Speech, Reading, Psychology, Computer Information Systems, First Year Academy, World Civilization and Speech, not only does Miles College Jump Start program prepare you academically but it provides a broad range of evening and weekend activities. You must complete the most current FAFSA to determine if you can attend Jumpstart at no cost to you. This is needed to secure your spot. Please complete the most current FAFSA immediately if you have not done so and use the Miles College Code 001028.

If you do not qualify for Financial Aid, contact our Business Office at (205)-929-1430 to discuss a payment plan.

Classes begin in June.

Submit Official ACT and/or SAT Scores by June 1.
Test Scores are not required. If you have not taken the ACT or SAT, contact the Testing Center at (205) 929.1824 to schedule a date to take the Accuplacer Placement Test or Email ghayes@miles.edu.
