Inaugural 50 under 50 Awards Recipients

Selected members will have the opportunity to contribute as speakers, panelists, advisory committee members, and participate in various special events at the college. The 50 Under 50 honorees will be celebrated and acknowledged at the prestigious 50 Under 50 Awards Celebration held during Homecoming Week.

Miles College Annual 50 under 50 Awards FAQ's

  • To be considered for the 50 Under 50 Class of 2023, nominees must have not reached their 51st birthday by September 1, 2023.

  • To submit a nomination, visit Nomination Form before 11:59 p.m. on July 14, 2023.

  • You can nominate multiple individuals, but only one nominee is allowed to per form.

  • Absolutely! Who knows you better than yourself?

  • No, the nominator can be anyone who knows the nominee well, such as an employer, co-worker, friend, or clergyperson.

  • Our alums are exceptional individuals who excel in various fields. They include business professionals, entrepreneurs, artists, designers, athletes, community organizers, politicians, teachers, and inventors. They make significant contributions to their communities through their careers and volunteer work. We seek candidates who embody these qualities and are committed to Miles College.

  • We anticipate receiving numerous nominations for the 50 Under 50. Our team will compile all the nominations, which will be reviewed by the Miles College Annual 50 under 50 Awards Selection Committee. The committee will carefully evaluate the nominations, interview candidates, and assess their achievements across sectors to determine the 50 Under 50 Class of 2023.

  • Our judges look for nominees with notable achievements in their respective fields, including community involvement. We also value community and volunteer engagement, which reflects a nominee's willingness to help others and their commitment to making a difference. When completing the nomination form, provide specific details about measurable achievements, such as increased profits, awards, or completed projects. Please be as specific as possible.

  • Selected individuals will be contacted by July 30, 2023, to notify them of their inclusion in this year's 50 Under 50 class.

  • You’ll receive follow-up information for the next steps, either in the format of a call or an email from the alumni affairs director on your selection.
