Erskine "Chuck" Faush, Jr. Appointed as Executive In Residence at Miles College

Birmingham, AL - January 31, 2024 - Miles College is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Erskine "Chuck" Faush, Jr. as Executive In Residence. With a distinguished career spanning multi-media, marketing, public service, and community development, Mr. Faush brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the college community. As an Executive In Residence, Mr. Faush will serve as a valuable resource for students, faculty, and staff, providing insights, knowledge, and networking opportunities to further enrich the educational experience at Miles College. His role will involve innovation and growth initiatives, collaborating on special projects and guest lectures and workshops.

Mr. Faush's career trajectory exemplifies a commitment to communication, consensus-building, and transformative leadership. From his beginnings in multi-media and marketing to his roles in public service and community development, he has consistently demonstrated a talent for storytelling and driving action from concept to implementation. Among his notable achievements, Mr. Faush served as Chief of Staff for the Mayor of Birmingham, Alabama, where he spearheaded initiatives that resulted in significant economic and tourism growth, including a multi-city Civil Rights campaign recognized with a Historic National Park Monument designation by President Barack Obama. Prior to joining Miles College, Mr. Faush held leadership positions with organizations such as the Chicago Urban League and Nicor Gas, a Southern Company, where he played a pivotal role in driving investment and job creation through innovative public-private partnerships.

Mr. Faush holds a degree from Alabama A&M University, a graduate degree from the University of Alabama Birmingham, and executive education certifications from NYU Stern School of Business and Yale University. He was also awarded an honorary doctorate from Miles College, further solidifying his connection to our institution. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Faush is actively involved in empowering others through his service on numerous boards, including the AME Zion Church, The YARD | HBCU Research & Policy Institute, Harriet Tubman Home Foundation, and Chicago Humanities.
