Letter from President Bobbie Knight:
Dear Miles College Community,
A century ago, America established a day of remembrance for the courageous veterans who served during World War I.
The service members we honor come from all walks of life, and they share several fundamental qualities that we celebrate on this day. They possess courage, pride, determination, selflessness, dedication to duty, and integrity – all the qualities needed to serve a cause larger than one's self. They are ordinary people who respond in extraordinary ways in extreme times. We owe each of these patriots a debt of gratitude for their service in defense of our freedom.
I specifically want to honor the countless Mileans who served in all branches of the US Military.
I hope you will take time today to honor these heroes. We are blessed as a nation to have the freedoms each of us enjoys.
Sincerely,
Bobbie Knight
