Miles College remembers the four little girls
- Article Date:
Dear Miles College Community,
September 15, 1963.
57 years ago, four little girls were tragically killed during the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing.

We continue to say their names and recognize how this vile act impacted the world and the Birmingham community.
The Miles legacy is built on the foundation of two pillars: civic engagement and activism. Today, as we continue to honor and commemorate their lives, I challenge each of us to reflect on our individual responsibility in our collective and relentless pursuit of economic and social justice. Although this year has been challenging in so many ways, it has also presented us with many opportunities. Let us continue to demonstrate a commitment to excellence and service to all humanity.
In Love, and Solidarity,
President, Miles College
