Miles Student: Devin Jenkins, elected the 2014-2015 Southern Region Assistant Vice President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated
Devin Jenkins, a senior Management Information Systems major at Miles College in Birmingham, AL, was elected the 2014-2015 Southern Region Assistant Vice President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated in Chattanooga, TN, at the 83rd Southern Region Convention held March 20-23, 2014. Jenkins was installed by Bro. Mark S. Tillman the General President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated on Sunday, March 23, and took office immediately. As the Southern Region AVP, Jenkins serves as the voice of the college brothers in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina, on the National Board of Directors for the fraternity. He is one of five college brothers serving on the National Board of Directors. Jenkins is a Spring 2012 initiate of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, by way of the Gamma Kappa chapter seated at Miles College. He has maintained a 4.0 grade point average during his matriculation at Miles, and is preparing for a second summer internship with GE Healthcare’s Information Technology Leadership Program. He is also a Center of Academic Excellence Scholar, Gates Millennium Scholar, Honors Curriculum President, and UNCF Pre-Alumni Council President.
