The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the administration of all College personnel policies and procedures, coordination with other administrative departments, advising employees, benefit administration and program development. Serve in staff advisory capacity to ensure that appropriate legal principles are followed in personnel actions. Act as the chief labor relations officer, the Affirmative Action Officer and Title IX Coordinator, the HIPAA Coordinator etc. The Director of Human Resources partners with the leadership of the College in its efforts to manage HR policies and systems to enhance the work experience and effectiveness of employees across the College.
Duties:• Report to the Chief of Staff to establish and carry out the goals of the office, maintain organized, efficient office systems and enhance programs and services.• Assist with ensuring compliance with various federal and/or state laws to include: EEO, FMLA, ADA, COBRA and FLSA.• Partner with Payroll Accountant to assure that record-keeping and coordination with payroll is maintained.• Provide accurate information on the range of HR programs and services
Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, Master’s degree preferred.• SPHR/PHR certification preferred• 3- 5 years human resources experience• Computer skills and experience with Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
