The instructor would teach courses in the Integrated Public Relations concentration, including: Print News Reporting, Media Research Methods, Introduction of Media Writing, Introduction to Public Relations, Public Relations Strategies and Tactics, Social Media Management, and others. The instructor coordinates the IPR concentration, advises students academically, and mentors members of extra-curricula organizations, such as the Miles College Association of Black Journalists, the Communications Club, the Lambda Pi Eta honor society, and the student publication The Milean.
Required Education and Experience:
The candidate must have earned a master’s degree in mass communications, journalism, mass media, public relations, or a related field. A candidate with an earned doctorate is preferred.
Required Skills and Ability:
The prospect must be proficient in media research methods, mass media theory, print journalism, InDesign, Photoshop, and Associated Press style.
