Job Description: Math Instructor
The Math Instructor position is a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position with an anticipated start date of Fall Term 2012 (August) but a different start date may be negotiated. This position requires a passion, demonstrated through experience, for effective teaching and advising of diverse students – plus excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated commitment to the comprehensive Miles College mission. The successful candidate will teach a variety of mathematics courses with the possibility of evening teaching assignments. Teaching assignments may include Algebra, Calculus, , and other math courses for which the instructor is qualified. Duties also include participation in college projects, committee work, and other typical college faculty activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a master’s degree in math or a master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in math. Successful results of a background check are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a Doctorate degree in math.
SALARY RANGE: Negotiable
