The Southern Association of Colleges Commission on Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC) requires institutions to identify, evaluate, and publish goals and outcomes for student achievement appropriate to the institution’s mission, the nature of the students it serves, and the kinds of programs offered. The institution uses multiple measures to document student success. Miles College utilizes multiple measures to evaluate student achievement. The College has identified the following six criteria to evaluate its success with student achievement:
1. Graduation Rate
Benchmark: 30% graduation rate for first-time full time students in six years (150% of normal time to completion).

2. Retention Rate from Freshman to Sophomore
Benchmark: Retention rate of 60% from Freshman to Sophomore was identified as a benchmark based on the College’s historical data of an average of 54% retention rate for the years 2011, 2012, and 2013.
