
Office of College Relations
Miles College, the only historically black four-year institution in Jefferson County, Alabama, has a rich legacy of educating students and serving the community while keeping alumni and corporate supporters engaged in activities. The Office of College Relations organizes and supports communication and events that keep Miles College at the forefront utilizing print, digital and broadcast media. The goal of the Office of College Relations is to ensure that images presented to the public each day by Miles College is consistent with the institution’s rich legacy and reflective of the vision set forth by the President and the Board of Trustees.
The Office of College Relations uses several tools to assist in sharing the Miles message with alumni, friends, faculty and staff, and prospective students in Birmingham, in the state of Alabama and throughout the country.
Milestones Magazine
This publication highlights the activities and accomplishments of Miles students, faculty and staff. It focuses on development, institutional growth, academic vision and the rich legacy of Miles College.
The Miles Wire
Miles College faculty and staff receive the latest news from college administration and share their accomplishments through this newsletter. The wire seeks to inform, inspire and enlighten the talented and committed team of educators and support staff. This nine month publication also includes feature articles on health, nutrition and culture.
