The Student Health Service is coordinated by the Office of the Dean of Students. A College Nurse maintains daily office hours on weekdays in an office located in the Edith Bass Apartments. The Nurse is available for emergency first aid and for health counseling. Student hospitalization and accident insurance is available at low premiums to all students who are enrolled at the College for a minimum program of nine credit hours per semester. Medical Insurance, either through the College or through a personal policy, is required for all students residing in the residence halls. Proof of personal coverage must be submitted at registration.

The College provides a medical examination form which must be completed by the family physician certifying the general health and medical history of each student. This completed form is required before the student’s initial admission to the College is complete.
