STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES TRIO PROGRAM-MILES COLLEGE
Student Support Services is a federally funded program sponsored by the U. S. Department of Education to provide services to eligible college applicants who are low income, disabled or first generation college. Interested applicants may inquire at the Office of Student Support Services for more information about the program.
The goal of the Student Support Services Program at Miles College is to increase retention and graduation rates for eligible students and to promote an institutional climate that is supportive of first generation college students, low income students and students with disabilities.
Services 
Programs and services offered through Student Support Services include the following: 
Professional Tutoring
Peer Tutoring
Study Skills Assistance
Financial Aid Counseling
Academic Counseling
Non-credit Academic Enrichment Courses in English, Reading and Mathematics
Cultural Enrichment Activities and Trips
Graduate School Information and Tours
Eligible Students
First generation college students (students whose parent(s)/ legal guardian(s) did not graduate from a four year college or university.
Students receiving financial aid at a level established by the U. S. Department of Education for SSS participants.
Students with documented physical disabilities or learning disabilities
*All SSS participants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States and must be registered at Miles College.
