Miles College Alumni Association - Atlanta Chapter Scholarship
 

Criteria Scholarship for Fall and Spring Semesters.

  1. Be a Georgia Resident For a Minimum of 6 months.
  2. Scholarship amount up to  $1,000 for unmet qualified college expenses (tuition fees, room and board and books).
  3. Scholorship does not cover Summer Courses
  4. Possess a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher..
  5. All Full-time Georgia students enrolled in the undergraduate programs are eligible.
  6. Write a two (2) page double-spaced, twelve (12) fonts, typewritten Essay stating career goals and how the scholarship will help achieve those goals with a Cover Letter.
  7. Scholorship application period is May 1st through August 31st of each calendar year.  
  8. The Miles College Alumni Association - Atlanta Chapter must recieve a Cover Letter, Essay, and a copy of the most recent 'Grade Report' or 'High School Transcript' postmarked no later than August 31st.
  9. Freshmen and Transferring students entering Miles College for the first time must provide a copy of ‘Final Acceptance Letter’ from Miles College.  If student does not arrive and enroll at Miles, Scholarship will be revoked and returned to the Miles College Alumni Association – Atlanta Chapter.
  10. Applicants will be Eligible for scholarship only one academic year.

While it is the wish that everyone receives a scholarship, not everyone will.  You will be judged on:

    • Promptness
    • Ability to Follow Instructions
    • Written Essay (Spelling and organization)
    • Cover Letter (salutation, dated and signed)
    • Meeting all the criteria’s for the scholarship
