Criteria Scholarship for Fall and Spring Semesters.
- Be a Georgia Resident For a Minimum of 6 months.
- Scholarship amount up to $1,000 for unmet qualified college expenses (tuition fees, room and board and books).
- Scholorship does not cover Summer Courses
- Possess a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher..
- All Full-time Georgia students enrolled in the undergraduate programs are eligible.
- Write a two (2) page double-spaced, twelve (12) fonts, typewritten Essay stating career goals and how the scholarship will help achieve those goals with a Cover Letter.
- Scholorship application period is May 1st through August 31st of each calendar year.
- The Miles College Alumni Association - Atlanta Chapter must recieve a Cover Letter, Essay, and a copy of the most recent 'Grade Report' or 'High School Transcript' postmarked no later than August 31st.
- Freshmen and Transferring students entering Miles College for the first time must provide a copy of ‘Final Acceptance Letter’ from Miles College. If student does not arrive and enroll at Miles, Scholarship will be revoked and returned to the Miles College Alumni Association – Atlanta Chapter.
- Applicants will be Eligible for scholarship only one academic year.
While it is the wish that everyone receives a scholarship, not everyone will. You will be judged on:
- Promptness
- Ability to Follow Instructions
- Written Essay (Spelling and organization)
- Cover Letter (salutation, dated and signed)
- Meeting all the criteria’s for the scholarship
