Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Manager reports to the Director of the International Studies. One of the main responsibilities of the Program Manager will be to coordinate and organize programs such as orientations, study abroad excursions, director’s meetings, and information sessions. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordination of the program including but not limited to the administrative, procedural, and communication processes. S/he will also lead, serve as a mentor and lend expertise in guiding students on proper protocol, professionalism, and procedures as related to their perspective areas.
Job Duties:
- Create and distribute all necessary communication between students, faculty mentors and Director
- Oversee the recording and tracking of data related to participants
- Support the Director in the preparation of written reports as requested regarding the program
- Oversee the process of monitoring participant progress
- Maintain records and statistical data on all participants
- Assist the Director with the preparation of all forms and reports related to the program
- Prepare, as requested any necessary receipts related to fiscal compliance of the program
- Provide counseling and support to participants
- Facilitate training and development exercises necessary for participants to meet their career goals
- Train and prepare all staff on compliance and human resources issues
- Planned responses to manage all student and faculty issues and concerns beforehand as well as when they arise
- Supervise student mentors and tutors
- Set up faculty coordinator events as determined by the Director
- Coordinate study abroad program including all travel information, passports, and passenger information
- Implement and support the objectives of the program by working with faculty coordinators
- Implement and support of objectives of the program
- Send out communication regarding open internships and academic opportunities for students
- Provide up to date information for program web maintenance
- Required to work some early mornings, evenings, and weekend events
- Ability to be available mornings, evenings, and weekends to answer questions
- Required to do some travel
- Run and complete office errands
- Order supplies and maintain inventory
- Maintain and update filing system
- Ability to work well independently
- Create and follow through on requisitions
- Maintain and file documents in filing system, including established unit computer databases as assigned
- Ability to work well with others
- Must pass a criminal background check

Qualifications:
- Must have a Master's degree in Social Sciences area, Business area, or related area
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written, and oral
- Ability to work well with students
- Must communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
- Must have cultural literacy
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer skills and proficiency with, Microsoft Office Suite, word-processing, spreadsheet, and web-based search engines and applications required
