The Division of Business and Accounting offers majors in Accounting, Business
Administration, and Management. Students are awarded the Bachelor of Science degree.
Students majoring in other disciplines may minor in either Business Administration
or in Accounting.

OBJECTIVES
|
The
objectives of the business programs are to graduate students who are: |
|
1. |
Knowledgeable
about the various aspects of the American economic system, especially as they
apply to the business sector. |
|
2. |
Able
to qualify for positions in private businesses and public agencies; |
|
3. |
Able
to qualify for entrance to graduate programs of study; and |
|
4. |
Able
to acquire managerial, administrative, and leadership skills on the job. |
DIVISIONAL
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES |

1. |
All students majoring in Business Administration are required to complete 54 semester
hours of general studies requirements, 9 hours of free electives, 55 hours of
business administration requirements, and 9 hours of business electives for a
total of 127 semester hours. *Additional free electives are required in each major.

2. |
Each student is required to pass each course in the major area with a minimum
grade of "C". |
|
3. |
Keyboarding may be waived by passing a proficiency test. |
|
4. |
Every student must pass the English Proficiency Exam by the end of the sophomore
year. |
|
5. |
Graduating seniors must take and pass the Division’s Comprehensive |
Exit
Exam with a 70% or higher score |
