Our noble Founders, who saw educated leadership as the paramount need in the Black Community, would be proud of how well their dream is being realized through academic and core-curricular offerings.

Miles College- a senior, liberal arts, church-related College with roots in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and in the tradition of the Historically Black College- motivates and directs its students to seek holistic development that leads to intellectual, ethical, spiritual, and service oriented lives.  Guided by these core values, the Miles College education involves students in rigorous study of the liberal arts as preparation for work and life-long learning.  Students are engaged in the acquisition of verbal, technological and cultural literacy and encouraged in critical community participation-all as a prelude to responsible citizenship in the global society which they will help to shape. Miles College is also a member of the United Negro College Fund.

Students and faculty involvement in academic activities, participation in the arts, spirited athletic programs and an enriching community life characterizes the Miles College environment.  Miles offers 25 Bachelor Degree programs in six academic divisions to an enrollment of more than 1,700 students.  In addition to its traditional full-time student class schedule, Miles offers evening and weekend courses for working students who wish to continue study toward degrees.
