Interdenominational Ministerial Association (IMA)

The Interdenominational Ministerial Association (IMA) at Miles College operates under the auspices of the Office of Student Life and Engagement (SLE). It is designed to provide fellowship, support, and leadership development for students enrolled at Miles College who have accepted a call or are exploring a call to leadership in Christian ministry regardless of denomination. As such, active membership is restricted to all persons, male and female, who meet the criteria and who participate in the required Orientation process. Additionally, active members must be actively involved and in good standing with a congregation or ministry of the Christian faith. Activities include Bible Study, Prayer on the Square, and Worship on the Yard. The mission of this organization is 4-fold: (1) To live a life worthy of the call to Christian discipleship, (2) To be obedient to the call and commission given in the 28th chapter of the Gospel of Matthew, (3) To lead the way in enhancing the spiritual atmosphere and rendering Christian service on the Miles College campus, and (4) To provide a source of accountability for students engaged in ministry leadership while students at Miles College—emphasizing becoming positive examples in scholarship, Christian discipleship, and leadership.
